Based in LA since 1981, Terry Wollman has forged a career spanning over 35 years as an in demand guitarist, music director, producer and composer.
He has worked with an amazing array of artists including Al Jarreau, Michael McDonald, Billy Preston, Wilson Phillips, Joan Baez, Joe Walsh, Keb' Mo and Joe Sample.
Terry has released seven full length solo albums. His latest instrumental release - No Problem - has topped the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts.
In this first instalment of a two part interview, Terry talks us through his early influences, how studying arrangement transformed him from a guitarist to a musician, building a career in LA in the early '80s, getting an impromptu (and unnecessary!) lesson from Lindsey Buckingham, and much more.
